Spring Update
I was on a roll for awhile updating my blog. Then I decided to give up Facebook for Lent and kinda gave up reading blogs, too. All of a sudden its been weeks since I posted. Here is a little recap of what I've been doing with all the time I used to spend paroozing the net....
1) Our first and only snow. Notice the DRY pavement in the picture. We had snow for about 2 hours, and yes, this cancelled school for the entire day. I mean, really?!?!?!?
2) Since the blizzard, we have been spending a lot of time outdoors! In 2011 we didn't have a spring. It went from winter to summer in 1 day. This year we didn't really have a winter, and we've had a glorious spring so far. My daffodils bloomed in January! The kids have loved the park. Once summer hits here in North Carolina, the parks are too hot. So we really have limited time to enjoy them. With the twins almost walking, its been really fun to meet friends and enjoy the 70-degree weather.
3) The twins are 14 months and very close to walking. Jenna actually took her first step alone. Both like to push the walker, although Natalie still prefers to walk on her knees (funny)! Natalie is babbling away and says uh-oh, mama and dada. This is advanced for a Voss. Both girls are just as cute as can be and I wish I could freeze this stage for awhile. The dreaded 18-months is looming around the corner....when tantrums, whining & discipline begin.
4) Everyone is sleeping through the night. I actually debated typing that out. Could it be??? Although we have the occasional waking for sickness, bad dreams and diaper changes, I haven't slept this good in 5+ years. I know, I know, I probably just jinxed myself.
5) I only have 2 kids in diapers. WHOO-HOO!! Mia is growing by leaps and bounds. She is fully potty-trained. Yes! She is also speaking in 4-5 word sentences, which is beyond wonderful. School has been such an integral part in her maturity. We are so proud of her. I'm afraid she is going to test out of speech therapy next year. We have really grown to love Ms. Andrea (her speech therapist). Now if only she'd grow out of the whining. . . .

My pansies bloomed all "winter."
Two sets of twins in this picture. Annmarie's sweet boys are 6 months old!
3 families & 11 children at the park this day. Yes, they are all ours. Yes, we love it!

Natalie walking on her knees
Jenna cruising the park. I love the rubber ground that this park has.
The twins do everything together. They love to stand at glass doors or windows and look out.
Natalie on left, Jenna on right
Natalie often tries to "ride" Jenna. It's hard to get a picture since Jenna doesn't tolerate it for very long. You can kinda see it here. It's pretty funny....at least Natalie thinks it is. :-)
